• Children’s visits: examinations and preventive care without pulling a child out of class.

If a problem starts after we close on Saturday

Not every problem is considerate enough to begin before 1pm. If something develops on Saturday afternoon or Sunday, a few practical steps apply while you wait.

• Manage pain sensibly: over-the-counter pain relief taken according to the packet directions, and a cold compress against the cheek for swelling. Never hold aspirin against the gum, as it burns the tissue.
• Protect a broken tooth: avoid chewing on that side and keep away from very hot, very cold and hard foods. Temporary dental cement from a pharmacy can cover a sharp edge or replace a lost filling short term.

• Go to hospital if it is serious: facial swelling that is spreading, swelling affecting your eye or the floor of your mouth, difficulty swallowing or breathing, or a high fever all warrant a hospital emergency department rather than waiting for a dental appointment.

Getting here on a Saturday from Maroubra

We are at Shop 1, 16 Maroubra Road, Pagewood, literally on Maroubra Road and on the border between the two suburbs. From Maroubra Junction it is a matter of minutes. From South Maroubra or Maroubra Bay it is a short drive up Anzac Parade.

Parking is the part people worry about, and it is the part that works in your favour here. There is free parking available via Glanfield Street, so you are not circling for a metered space or feeding a machine while you are in the chair.
